Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our reusable silicone under-eye patches. Can't find your answer? Write to us.

What are reusable under-eye patches?

They are thin patches of medical-grade silicone that you place over your eye cream or serum. The silicone forms a light seal that helps keep your product on your skin for longer. After use, you wash them and use them again.

How do silicone eye patches work?

By occlusion, which is simple physics. The thin silicone forms a light seal over your eye cream or serum, so far less of it evaporates. Your product stays moist and in contact with your skin for longer, giving your skin more time to absorb its ingredients, and the skin under your eyes feels more hydrated. That is why the patches work like a booster for the products you already use. Nothing is soaked into them.

How do I use them?

Apply a thin layer of eye cream or serum, wait a few seconds until it feels slightly tacky, then place the patches on top for 10 to 20 minutes. Peel them off, pat in what is left, and rinse the patches. See our full guide on the How to use page.

Are reusable eye patches hygienic?

Yes, as long as you clean them after each use. Silicone is non-porous, so warm water and a little mild soap remove any product. Let them dry and keep them in the mirror box, away from dust.

Will they stay in place?

Yes. The thin silicone follows the shape under your eyes and holds on gently through contact with your skin and product. If they slide, you have probably used a little too much cream.

Which eye cream or serum should I use?

The one your skin already likes. Light gels, hyaluronic serums and lightweight eye creams work especially well. We'd avoid exfoliating acids and strong retinoids under silicone.

Are they suitable for sensitive skin?

The patches are made from 100% medical-grade silicone with no adhesive and no fragrance, which makes them a gentle choice for most skin types. The silicone has been independently tested to ISO 10993 for cytotoxicity, skin irritation and skin sensitisation, and showed no reaction in any of the three tests. Because they keep your product close to the skin, always patch test a new cream first. If you have a known silicone allergy, please don't use them.

How many times can I use one pair?

More than 100 times. We used our own pairs over 100 times before we started selling them. Clean them after each use, avoid hot water and alcohol, and store them flat in their box.

What's the difference between Clear and Baby Pink?

Only the colour. Clear is subtle and discreet, with a soft frosted finish; Baby Pink is a soft blush of colour. Both are made from the same silicone and work in exactly the same way.

How big are the patches and the box?

Each patch is about 7 cm long and 2.7 cm at its widest point, shaped to sit comfortably under the eye. The mirror box measures 7 × 11 × 1.5 cm closed, and 8 × 14.5 cm in its velvet pouch, small enough for any handbag.
