About Loui & I
Our story
Loui & I is named after the two of us, and it started with a search for one small thing that worked.
Loui has always loved skincare and make-up. She tried under-eye patches of every kind, single-use and reusable, and none of them felt right. Some slid off before she'd finished her coffee. Some were thick and stiff. Some came soaked in a formula that left her skin irritated.
So I set out to help her find better ones. I spent evenings researching materials and makers, then ordered samples from one supplier after another. Loui tested every pair: how it sat under her eyes, how it felt after twenty minutes, how it washed. The pair we chose, we used more than 100 times before selling a single set.
It was thin, soft and comfortable, stayed in place on its own, and left room for the cream or serum Loui already loved. That was the moment we thought other people should have these too.
So we found a slim box with a mirror inside, to keep the patches clean and easy to use anywhere. When our first boxes arrived scratched from travel, we added a velvet pouch to protect them in a handbag. Every detail in the set comes from something we noticed while using it ourselves.
Today we still pack every order by hand in Mansfield, and we still use the patches every week.
